The UNCG College of Visual and Performing Arts presents Much Ado About Nothing, by William Shakespeare, with ASL interpretation on October 5th at 2:00pm!
Summary:
In a whirlwind of love, deception, and redemption, the tale unfolds with Count Claudio swept off his feet by the enchanting Hero, his host’s daughter. Meanwhile, sparks fly between Hero’s sharp-tongued cousin, Beatrice, and the witty bachelor, Benedict, as they unwittingly stumble into a tangled web of false affection.
But as love blossoms, treachery lurks in the shadows, and Claudio falls victim to a sinister scheme, publicly condemning Hero as unfaithful on their wedding day. The shock leaves Hero seemingly lifeless, only to miraculously revive later, vindicated by a twist of fate.
In the midst of chaos, Benedict emerges as the unexpected hero, defending Beatrice’s family honor and winning her heart in the process. And just when all seems lost, the miraculous reunion of Claudio and Hero proves that love conquers even the darkest deceit, leaving hearts racing and spirits soaring in this thrilling tale of love, betrayal, and ultimate redemption!
