Let’s Reconnect!

We are proud to announce that the Community Appreciation Event is confirmed for Thursday, December 5th! This is a partnered event hosted by CSDHH and DSDHH. We are excited to offer this event again to the community for the first time since the COVID-19 pandemic, 5 years ago! The theme for 2024 Community Appreciation is “Reconnect”. We thought this was the best word to describe our desire to strengthen our relationships with community members and to share important resource information.

This year is extra special because it marks 20 years hosting this annual event! Community appreciation will be on December 5, 2024 from 5pm – 7pm.

New Location at Bur-Mil

Address: 5834 Bur-Mil Club Rd. Greensboro, NC 27410

Driving up to the Bur-Mil Clubhouse you will see a large parking lot on the left across from a golf course. You do not have to pay to park in this lot. There are no steps walking from the parking lot to the clubhouse is flat. If needed, you can also use the semi circle in front of the building to drop off folks first then go park. You cannot park your car anywhere in the semi circle!

RSVP Required

In past years, folks could come to Community Appreciation without registering before. Now due to limited seating, we are asking everyone to RSVP in advance. Make sure you save your seat now! You can RSVP by clicking the button below and typing in all of your information.

Registration is closed for this event. We are in a new location with limited capacity, and all available registrations have been filled. There will be no on-site registration, and only those who completed the RSVP will be admitted.

Accommodation Services

Community appreciation will be presented in American Sign Language (ASL) with spoken English and real-time captions. If you are DeafBlind and need another accommodation such as close vision ASL interpreting, haptics, tactile ASL, or transportation, please add this information to your registration.

The deadline to request an accommodation is Monday, November 1st!
