50 years of CSDHH
CSDHH was founded in 1975, meaning this year marks our 50th Anniversary! Please join us in celebrating Five Decades of Empowerment and Change: Honoring Our Past, Inspiring Our Future on Saturday, March 29, 2025, from 3:00pm-9:00pm, at the Piedmont Hall venue at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex, at 2409 W Gate City Blvd.
This will be a wonderful evening of looking back on the history of CSDHH and the Deaf Community, Deaf Rights, and other important milestones. We will also look forward to our future goals and ambitions. A meal will be provided, as well as light snacks, and there will be socializing, entertainment, prizes, and more.
Schedule of the Evening
Our 50th Anniversary celebration will be Saturday, March 29
2:30pm - Parking lot opens, and remember, parking is free!
3:00pm - Doors open! Socializing until 4:00pm
4:00pm - On-stage program begins, celebrating CSDHH, recognizing community members who have been involved in our history, and presenting games and entertainment
6:00pm - Dinner is served
7:00pm - Drawings for raffle and door prizes. After the raffle and door prizes, we'll have social time, music, dancing, and fun.
9:00pm - Event is over, venue is closed, doors are locked
Registration
The registration cost is $50 per person if registered by March 10. Registration will be $60 per person starting on March 11 through March 20. Registration will close on March 20, 2025; there will be no registration on March 21 or later.
If you want to attend, you must register in advance - there will be no last minute or day-of registration.
This cost includes admission, appetizers, dinner, fun, games, prizes, and free parking.
All registration is electronic, through our website below.
Once you submit the registration form, you will receive a confirmation of your registration via email. You do not need to print this email or bring it with you to the event. We'll have your name on a list at the door. If you would like something printed, contact CSDHH.
If you'd prefer to order with cash, please contact Kelle at CSDHH to arrange an appointment at the CSDHH office to meet to pay and register.
Multiple tickets can be purchased at one time.
Responding on Facebook or Instagram that you're interested in attending, or liking the promotional posts, does not mean you are registered and will be able to attend.
We cannot accommodate children younger than age 12 at this event, and children age 12 and up will be the responsibility of their parent or guardian.

Menu
Dinner will be provided, as well as light refreshments during the event. No outside food or drink is permitted.
The catered meal will be plated, and will include a salad, entree, vegetables, dessert, tea, and water.
There will be a bar on site; this bar only accepts credit cards for purchase. No cash will be accepted.
Advance notice is required for meal adjustments based on food sensitivities or restrictions. Please signify these requests when registering for the event.
Communication/Accommodations
This event will be presented in ASL and English, with interpretation provided. CART captioning and ALDs will be available.
If you have additional accommodation needs, please let us know by 3/1/25.
We are unable to provide transportation to the event. See the Greensboro Transit Authority bus schedule here. Route 11 serves the Coliseum area, and runs 6:00am-10:00pm on Saturdays. If you need assistance figuring out the bus route and schedule to use, contact the CSDHH office.
Policies
If you want to attend, you must register in advance - there will be no last minute or day-of registration. After March 20, registration will be closed, and if you hadn't already registered you will not be able to attend.
Parking is free at the event with your paid registration
Registration is non-refundable. If you cannot attend, even for emergency reasons, the cost of your registration will be considered a donation to support CSDHH.
By purchasing a registration to and attending this event, you are consenting for your photo/video to be taken and used. We will be taking lots of photos at the event.
When thinking of what to wear, remember that this event will have lots of photos being taken, and that these photos will be looked at for years in the future. We do not have a strict dress code for this event, but encourage you to dress as you would for church, or for a business event.
The venue has a strict bag policy, permitting only clear bags or small clutch bags or medical bags. Bags are subject to search upon entry.
